Action for Healthy Kids Adds New Members to Board of Directors
Hillary Morgridge, Dr. Kymm Ballard and Dr. William Potts-Datema Join Board of Directors
CHICAGO (January 19, 2023)— Action for Healthy Kids announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors in connection with its recent merger agreement with RMC Health. The new board members join an esteemed group of individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in child health and well-being of America’s youth.
Action for Healthy Kids added the following new board members:
Hillary Morgridge, CPA, Founder, Hillary Morgridge CPA, LLC. Morgridge founded her own practice, offering finance, tax and accounting solutions to not-for-profit organizations. As former Director of Client Tax Services at The Accounting Department for Nonprofits, Morgridge brings over ten years of nonprofit financial compliance experience in both industry and public accounting. She currently serves as the Treasurer of Impact 100 Metro Denver, as well as an advisor to the Morgridge Family Foundation.
Dr. Kymm Ballard, Ed.D, Assistant Professor at Campbell University & Kymm Ballard Consulting. Ballard runs her own consulting practice, offering 25 years of experience and networking to provide technical assistance on ESSA, grants, and policies in education, organizations, and corporations. Ballard is most recognized by her passion and networking for physical education. Her work on policy and legislation is driven by her desire to make a difference in this profession she loves. Ballard is currently serving as president of SHAPE America.
Dr. William Potts-Datema, MS, MCHES, FASHA, FAAHE, Retired, Lead Health Education Specialist, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Potts-Datema is a founding board member of Action for Healthy Kids, a past chairman of the AFHK board and has served in education and public health for 39 years. He has held several national leadership positions including Chief of the Program Development and Services Branch of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Adolescent and School Health, Director of Partnerships for Children’s Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, and Executive Director of the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education in Washington, DC.
