Implementation Tool

Many high schools allow students to leave campus for lunch, resulting in students consuming unhealthy items.

Scheduling conflicts and limited cafeteria space often result in schools, especially high schools, offering students the option to leave the school campus. Unfortunately, many of the options available off campus are fast-food and quick serve places that do not offer a variety of healthy food and beverage choices. Some schools, in an effort to appeal to students and keep them on campus and participating in the school meal program, will offer appealing items to students on campus but not in the cafeteria.
