The great work that you and your students do in ReCharge! Energizing After-School has the biggest impact if you reach out effectively and consistently to students' families. Doing so increases the likelihood that the positive lessons you're teaching about healthy eating and physical activity are reinforced at home, and it gives your students a "home field advantage" on the road to good health!
ReCharge! makes it easy to communicate with parents and other family members with the outreach materials you will find throughout the program. The following materials are all included in the kit and some are designed specifically to be sent home to parents and other family members.
Home Field Advantage newsletters connect parents to the concepts of ReCharge! Four take-home newsletters focus on different program themes and provide information, tips, recipes and resources that parents will find helpful.
