Action for Healthy Kids is the nation’s leading nonprofit and largest volunteer network fighting childhood obesity and undernourishment by partnering with schools to improve nutrition and physical activity to help our kids learn to eat right, be active every day, and be ready to learn.
The New Jersey Action for Healthy Kids Team is committed to engaging the many representatives from statewide organizations and agencies around promoting healthy eating and active living for all New Jersey youth. The Team will continue this school year to support the following three initiatives for the 2013-2014 school year. The team will also work to raise awareness around Action for Healthy Kids and its available resources.
Our goals are to support and promote the following three programs:
- American Dairy Association: Breakfast in the Classroom
- New Jersey Farm to School Network
