Action for Healthy Kids is the nation’s leading nonprofit and largest volunteer network fighting childhood obesity and undernourishment by partnering with schools to improve nutrition and physical activity to help our kids learn to eat right, be active every day and be ready to learn.

Why We Care

1 in 2 Children does not receive PE in a week

Schools Are the Best Vehicle for Change

With kids spending 1,000 hours a year and consuming as many as half their daily calories at school, classrooms are the ideal place to teach kids lifelong habits that will help them be healthy. Schools are also a critical connection point for parents, families and community members, all of whom play important roles in helping children learn how to eat well and be active.
