This tool will help schools integrate the new Local School Wellness Policy regulations with the new Healthy Snack regulations through Coordiniated School Health Teams. Our goals are to:
1. Support nutrition education through Action for Healthy Kids school grants.
2. Support nutrition education by encouraging alternative breakfast methods that increase student participation.
3. Support physical activity through Action for Healthy Kids community 5K run-walk events.
4. Facilitate collaboration with partner organizations to strengthen Michgan's priorities around childhood wellness.
There are many opportunities to get involved with Action for Healthy Kids in Michigan--from becoming a team member, to attending Action for Healthy Kids’ events, to making a financial contribution--you can help create a healthier environment for our kids!
