Your team is assembled! Let's begin examining your school community environment. Step 2 includes helpful information on how to determine what your school and students need…and whether your school is even ready to tackle school wellness programming. You'll start with a readiness survey and examine your school's willingness to utilize community volunteers, and be accepting of new health and fitness practices and policies.
This is an important step, and should be taken seriously! Assessing your needs is going to be critical to making impactful change to your students and school environment. You will examine your school environment, begin to identify your resources, and look for areas of strength and improvement. To make any school wellness program effective, you must start by justifying your decision to make changes.
