Give Breakfast to Kids in Need

sb4

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Unfortunately, many American kids don’t get that powerful kick-start. In fact, as many as one in five kids in this country are sent to school each day from homes that don’t have the food or proper nutrition they need.

That’s why our partnership with Kellogg’s and the Share Your Breakfast. Share Hope.™ campaign is so important. Together, we’re ensuring that kids, who might otherwise miss out on that first meal of the day at home, get it at school. This year, we’re helping Kellogg’s share over one million breakfasts with kids in need by helping schools create new or enhance existing school breakfast programs.

And
, because Action for Healthy Kids is equally committed to making sure every child also gets at least 60 minutes of physical activity most days, we invite you to take our Every Kid Healthy pledge.

Every Kid Healthy!

Did you know:

  • Children who eat poorly or engage in too little physical activity don’t perform as well as they could academically?
  • Overweight kids miss school four times as often as healthy weight kids?
  • Or, that only eight percent of elementary school students and six percent of middle school and high school students get daily physical education in school?

It’s all true. But you can do your part to fight childhood obesity by taking the Every Kid Healthy pledge today. Sign up on your left!
