What is teamwork?
Teamwork has many important elements:
Cooperation — working together, helping one another
Peaceful communication — talking to one another, getting along
Encouragement — supporting and helping each other to do our best
Respect — respecting people for who they are
Listening — really hearing what others on the team say
Support — helping others when they need it
Why is teamwork important?
The skills needed to work as part of a team will serve students well throughout their lives — in school, their jobs, families and communities. Teamwork can be a powerful way to help all team members reach their goals and achieve their best!
